June 19, 2018: Science Slam
3115 W 6th St
Good communicators use stories to share their message and inspire their audience. Come learn how to bolster your storytelling super power at this Unseminar. Session includes an open mic for 5 minute flashtalks by volunteers from the audience.
The theme for the night will be "Activation Energy: Stories About Science Beginnings." All KU students, faculty and researchers are invited to tell short stories about the path that got them to where they are today as scientists or engineers. Some suggested prompts to get you thinking about your story: Why did you choose this path? How has it changed you (on a personal or emotional level)? How did you overcame barriers along the way?
If you have a story that you want to share at this event, email Claudia Bode (email@example.com).
