New additions, recent departures

Thursday, June 21, 2018

There are several new faces in Professor Mark Shiflett's research group.  Three new postdoctoral researchers joined this summer, including: Rajkumar Kore, who earned his PhD in chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab, India; Ana Morais who earned her PhD in chemistry at NOVA University of Lisbon, Caparica, Portugal; and Sachin Nandanwar who earned his PhD in chemical engineering at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, India. Welcome to KU and the CEBC!

These trainees take the place of two postdoctoral researchers who left in May to launch their careers. David Minnick (photo, right) moved to  Aberdeen, Maryland, to serve as Principal Research Scientist at Battelle, a organization that does research for various sectors, such as national security, life sciences, and energy. Bill Gilbert (photo, left) joined one of CEBC's industry partners, Chemours Company, a world leader in titanium technologies and fluoroproducts, as a Research and Development Process Engineer.  Best of luck to you both!
