Good advice on good work

Thursday, October 30, 2014

“Good work speaks for itself,” said Bill Tenn, senior research associate at INVISTA. This was just some of the advice Tenn shared with a couple dozen students and postdoctoral associates at CEBC’s Fall 2014 Industry Advisory Board meeting. The hour-long mentoring session touched on questions about employers, job satisfaction, research trends and employment opportunities. Tenn emphasized how important it is to classify yourself as a problem-solver and team-builder. He also advised students to “be flexible, seeking value anywhere—even in other countries.”
