The American Chemical Society publishing group recently reported that a chapter co-authored by three faculty members at the University of Kansas Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis was one of the top 10 most read electronic book chapters of 2013.
Juan Bravo-Suarez, assistant professor of chemical engineering, was lead author for the chapter and headed the editorial team for the electronic book Novel Materials for Catalysis and Fuels Processing. Several other CEBC researchers and a former student contributed chapters to the book as well.
ACS e-Books have seen more than 2.5 million downloads since 2009 by scientists from around the world. Bravo-Suarez’s peer-reviewed book is part of the ACS Symposium Series. According to the website, “Each chapter is carefully authored by an expert in the field, and the collection of chapters edited by an internationally recognized leader in the field.”
